A Surreal Jordan Lake
Recently, the air temperature and low level moisture combined to create a situation in the Durham area wherein fog began rising from any moist surface. There were some beautiful and surreal scenes, e.g., fences and pastures, ponds. These two images were captured from a bridge on Jordan Lake. I did very little to edit them other than reducing the electronic noise on the second one.
Here the lake's surface is heavily clouded by the fog but not so much as to hide the colors of the setting sun. It was akin to being immersed in a painting.
On the opposite side of the bridge, the lighting was very different and lower, yielding a noisy image. The fog followed water channels leaving the trees and clouds more visible. Surreal nevertheless.
